Knock-off White Chocolate Covered Strawberries

This is just a little something I thought of during a time of dessert weakness. After I thought of it, I Googled it and apparently a lot of people have thought of this same thing! Take an empty ice-cube tray and fill each cube a little less than half way with light vanilla yogurt (I considered doing the Greek yogurt but decided against it). Then put a whole strawberry (top cut off) inside the cube and fill around it with more yogurt. Freeze for a few hours and you have yourself a knock off version of white chocolate covered strawberries! I did a few cubes with grapes as well and they were so good- I liked them better than the strawberries!

Knock-off White Chocolate Covered Strawberry  (1 per serving)

  • 1 medium strawberry
  • ~3 Tbsp light vanilla yogurt

40 calories, 1 g fat, 2 mg cholesterol, 7 g carbohydrate, 28 mg sodium, 0 g fiber, 6 g sugar, 2 g protein

This is a very low-calorie dessert…. So much so that I may sacrifice a few more calories next time and add some chocolate syrup on top! 🙂
